Singapore Naval Base Housing. The Jacksons63 viewsSingapore Naval Base Housing - The Jacksons. 156 Gibraltar Crescent. Built at the start of the Naval Base construction in 1929 by Sir John Jackson for his European Staff. Due to the ever present shortage of suitable accommodation close to the Naval Base (some families rented in Johor) the 'Jackson' blocks became subdivided into three units and used as temporary accommodation for middle grade Civilian staff and their families before being allocated more permanent accommodation in a larger bungalow.Mar 03, 2025

Singapore Naval Base - Sembawang Photo Services. Mr T K Lee 1998146 views1998. After 33 years Pete Banks meets up with T K Lee of Sembawang Photo Services.
Passing through the old Naval Base in 1998 I am shocked to learn that a Mr T K Lee was now the photographer of choice for the US Navy families on the base and I immediately looked him up. Many of the photographs being uploaded to this site by ex Naval Base residents were taken by Mr Lee. He covered all the dances, galas, private birthday parties etc or he sold you the camera that you used yourself.
(Sadly the Lee Photo Studio website now says ‘Permanently Closed’)Feb 20, 2025
